Every now and then, we like to mix things up a bit. And Kaylee and Brian’s wedding at Foundation Event Space, in downtown Kansas City, is the most perfect example ever.
In this case, mixing it up could have been the fact that their story is different than most. They actually got married about two years ago, in a very small ceremony with family and a few close friends. But because Brian is currently on active military duty and left to be stationed in South Korea shortly thereafter, they never really got to have the big wedding day they wanted. Or, mixing it up could have been the fact that they had Krispy Kreme instead of a traditional wedding cake [there’s a great story behind this one]. Really, there were so many different and special things about this day, that it’s hard to include them all in one single blog post.
Continuing with the theme of mixing things up, we decided to do something we’ve been toying with for a while now. Instead of our usual method of selecting images for the blog, we narrowed down our selections even further and chose a very small number of our absolute favorite images. . .ones that really spoke to us. . .and decided to share them all with you in black and white. There’s just something about a black and white photograph that really draws you in and highlights the emotion of the story. Don’t you agree?
Kaylee and Brian [and anyone else who is reading this] we hope you enjoy this collection of images as much as we do. It means the world to us to have been chosen to be the ones to capture these moments.
